Since Duterte took power he has since been very vocal against the Church and Christianity in general.  Simply by criticizing many of it’s different customs and traditions. For it seems that his policy of mass-slaughter, rape, indecency, and corruption doesn’t fit in with the Christian ethos of love, compassion and peace.

God is stupid according to Duterte

It was one of Duterte’s biggest Anti-Christian statement yet when he called the bible’s story of creation under the Book of Genesis lame and stupid.

In the televised speech he slammed the logic of Adan and Eve when they fell for the temptation of the snake and consumed the forbidden fruit in the paradise. Going along his usual false theological explanation that God created something perfect and then he thinks of an event that would tempt and destroy the quality of his work.

“What kind of religion is that? I can’t accept it.” says Duterte. This statement created a fiery debates online in social-media networks and message-boards. Even people in the ground seems to have all been talking about this.  His die-hard supporters also known as ‘Duterte Diehard Supporters’ a fanatical group of online supporters calling for the abolishment of the Catholic Church in the Philippines and siding with Duterte in his statement.

Christian teachings contradicts Duterte’s actions and policies.

      • ”Thou shall not kill’– Duterte’s  policy of mass butchery where as many as 20,000+ people deliberately executed during legitimate police operations and or hunted down by masked men. Duterte’s brutal war on drugs earned the ire of many human-rights organizations and has also been repeatedly criticzed by the Commission of Human Rights which led to Duterte’s allies passing a law to reduce its budget to a mere 500 pesos. Fortunately, this has been blocked in the Senate due to a massive public outcry.

      • ‘Thou shall not steal” – Duterte’s continues policy of freeing suspected plunderers and even re-instating corrupt officials despite clear and irrefutable evidence linking them to various corruption scandals in the past. This move defies common logic knowing that Duterte has been known to be an unforgiving strongman who does not condone corruption. As evident to his recent pronouncements where he admitted on kicking a politician out in a flying helicopter simply because he was corrupt.

Freeing corrupt politicians and turning them into allies makes increases his number of loyal cronies. Just this month, another plunderer has been freed Bong Revilla which was clearly tied to the Napoles PDAF Scam. But the Court of Appeals decided to acquit him while convicting his aide and Napoles guilty.

  • ‘You shall have no other gods before Me.” – Last September 2016, Duterte  fired a direct tirade against Christian faith by encouraging them to join his own church instead. Which he jokingly called ”Iglesia ni Duterte”. He said this during his visit in Vientiane, Laos, for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

  • ‘Thou shall not covet” – In Hongkong, A married Duterte fan came up on the stage to greet him and planted a seemingly innocent kiss on his cheek. However, being in the position of power. Duterte took advantage of this and asked the woman back to the stage then directly asked for a kiss in the lips. Obviously, the woman was too shy or hesitant but mounting pressure from the audience and the intimidating figure of Duterte. The woman gave in.

  • “Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” – Just last year. Duterte suddenly exposed Senator Trillanes supposed bank account in Singapore which contains his hidden wealth.  He said these accounts are in a DBS Bank with account number 178000296012 and 1178000281602. However, Senator Trillanes actually flown to Singapore and cleared the allegations himself. This forced Duterte to admit that he invented the bank account to catch Trillanes.

Similarly, China’s one-party dictatorial rule was also being threatened by these religious teachings.

The ruling one-party dictatorial rulers in China also felt threatened by the teachings of the church as it contradicts many of the unjust policies which party plans to impose on its people. It also makes it easier for dissent to forment and circulate across communities. Fearing for yet another mass protest which could lead to their ouster. The Chinese government decided to slowly get rid of large churches and persecuting religious figures in China.

As of 2016. There’s been as many as 1,700 churches has been burned down to ashes by the Chinese Communist Party.  In fact, President Xi Jinping declared his policy over religion to be unanimously ”atheist’. According to him ”“We must resolutely guard against overseas infiltrations via religious means and prevent ideological infringement by extremists.”

The Chinese Communist Party intensifies its crackdown for Christians in China due to their large population around 68 million people. Which is a large chunk of the entire Chinese population approximately 5%. Making sure that Christian influence is cleared off China is imperative to the goals of the party in order to fully control the people’s ‘beliefs’.

Preparing for Chinese takeover?

Duterte’s goal was to rule the government on a the same political system enjoyed by China’s ruling party. He wants a one-party dictatorial rule which gives every aristocratic political dynasties control over certain regions in the country. He does this by starting up the idea of ”Federalism” as sort of a magic pill that will fix Philippine’s bureaucratic problems in budget allocations.  However, this wasn’t the case since Federalism is not really needed to increase the budget of local government units. All Duterte could do was to change the LGU Code and get this over with. He wanted Charter Change which effectively replaces the present anti-dictatorial Constitution to a more pro-dictatorial and enables foreign control over much of Filipino owned lands and businesses.

Duterte’s attitude against the church is simply how he wants people to believe in. He wants people to be as indecent like him. He wants people to diregard human rights like him. He wants people to think like him. He wants to force the idea that religion only hampers progress and that we must move away from our age old  customs and traditions and embrace Duterte’s new form of society.

The question is. Will you allow him?
